Reconnect to nature and inspire your imagination as you celebrate the wonder and beauty of the Schuylkill River, one of Philadelphia’s most prized natural resources at INVISIBLE RIVER 2014. Join us as we paddle along river to witness breathtaking dance along the shores, enlivening aerial dance overhead, and elegant sculpture that appears to emerge from the waters. At INVISIBLE RIVER you will engage with your local watershed in a new way, and become a steward of the Schuylkill River and Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park.

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST ARRIVE BY 6:15PM ON THE EVENT DAY FOR A SAFETY BRIEFING & LESSON – ANY PERSONS ARRIVING AFTER 6:25PM WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN A BOAT.

Before embarking on your journey, you will receive a paddling lesson from one of Hidden River Outfitters’ expert kayak paddlers. No experience is necessary, and paddlers of all skill levels are encouraged to join.

Scull Row Boat

Your purchase of one Scull ticket includes seats for 8 rowers and 1 cox. After your ticket purchase we will send you a number for your boat and for each rower – the number must be placed on the boat and on each person before attending the event.Buy Tickets Now
There is limited parking, so we highly encourage you to use alternative transportation to get to the event: bike, walk, public transit.
BIKING — Onsite bike racks and bike valet parking will be available at the event. Please use the Circuit Map to plan your trip to the event. http://connectthecircuit.org/— (use left hand tool bar and go down below “Browse” to “Plan a Trip”)
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION — Take the #15 Trolley (the Girard Avenue Trolley or Bus) to Girard Avenue and 34th Street. Exit the train and head north on N 34th St/Lansdowne Dr (right turn from Girard Ave if coming from the East and left turn if coming from the West) going into the park. Walk along this road as it curves and heads into the park it will become Lansdowne Drive. At the first stop sign you come to make a right onto Sweet Briar Lane. Walk approximately 200 ft till you come to the traffic light. Cross the light and make a left heading north on the Martin Luther King Jr Drive . Walk approximately 2/5 of a mile till you get to a bend in the road where you will see a parking lot and Green Boat House.
CAR PARKING —
DIRECTIONS to Green Boathouse/Adaptive Rowing Center, 1233 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19131:
Take I-76 W/Schuylkill Expressway to Exit 341/Montgomery Drive towards West River Drive. After exiting go to the traffic light and make a right onto Montgomery Drive. Make a right onto Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and drive past Black Road. Continue along the road and you will see a parking lot on the left hand side of Martin Luther King Jr. Drive with a Green Boat House at the far left side. Please park here. Staff from INVISIBLE RIVER will direct you to the docks.

Lot B (to be used when lot A) fills up: Parking lot across from Belmont Stables on the eastern side of the Drive. link
Priority parking at the Green Boathouse/Adaptive Rowing Center, 1233 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, Philadelphia, PA 19131 is reserved for the elderly and those with a physical disability – please email us directly at ticketsalesIR2014@gmail.com if you would like to reserve this space.
